About the Journal

Student Research in English Linguistics is an open-access peer-reviewed online journal that showcases outstanding research by students of English linguistics in German, Austrian and Swiss universities. We aim to give young researchers the opportunity to have their first experience in the area of scientific publishing under conditions that are ethical and supportive. The journal welcomes submissions from any branch of linguistics dealing with English.

Students at the undergraduate (BA, Lehramt)  and MA level may submit their own research, be it derived from coursework (term paper, thesis) or original. Authors are encouraged to seek support from their thesis advisors and teachers to guide them through making their work the best it can be before submission.

The review process is double-anonymous. We are looking for volunteers (professors, PhDs and PhD students) to become regular reviewers. If you are interested in reviewing one or a few articles per year for us, simply create an account via the menu at the top right of this page.
